Jo visits the Bruno family where parents Denise and John need help with their four daughters: 15-year-old Mariah [who suffers from cerebral palsy], 13-year-old Taylor, 6-year-old Isabella "Bella", and 4-year-old Samantha "Sam." Because of Mariah's cerebral palsy, she gets physical therapy from her mom, but longs for the affection from her dad. Taylor is at odds with John because of her punk goth-like style and as a result, their relationship is strained. Bella has terrible outbursts and fights her mom, leaving Denise feeling physically and emotionally drained. Sam also misbehaves and tends to whine a lot. The girls don't give Denise enough time with Mariah's physical therapy. Can Jo help mend Mariah and Taylor's relationship with their dad and help Denise control their younger daughters' misbehavior?
